HVAC Service Technician Experienced Service technician that can perform maintenance and service on split ac systems, heat pumps, boilers, space pac and mini-splits. Provide a professional experience to our customers in a consistent and quality manner with minimal call backs. Strive to maintain a professional Company image in the marketplace through personal attitude, action, and appearance. Portray strong communication getting customers involved to what our company offers, recommend, and sell service agreements, accessory items, and replacement systems. Most of our work is residential service and replacement. Our standard work hours are Monday thru Friday 8am to 5 pm. You will be required to participate in the emergency on call rotation once every other moth for a week. Compensation based on experienced, Plus Incentives. Successful at performing all service repairs at a high proficiency level to customer’s satisfaction QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Possess at least 4 years of HVAC experience. 2. LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively with customer and management team. 3. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. 4. REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding in written, oral or diagram form. 5. COMPUTER SKILLS: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of using computers and iPad as a tool to complete the service call and how to access and use the internet. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Perform all service and warranty calls as directed by dispatcher including performing “on-call” service as required. 2. Follow through on uncompleted calls order parts, re-schedule calls, and communicate with customer. 3. Inform Customers of Company’s products and services. 4. Correctly and completely fill out all service invoices. 5. Maintain truck inventory stocking levels. 6. Discuss equipment repair / replacement options with Customers. 7. Keep company vehicle clean inside and out. 8. Acquire necessary tools to perform professional HVAC service. 9. Any and all other work-related tasks/duties as directed by supervisor. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Must be able to lift 75 lb. air conditioning and refrigeration equipment 8 to 10 times each day. 2. Must be able to work outdoors in wet and cold (below freezing) and in extremely hot and humid weather (above 80˚ degrees). 3. Must be able to climb ladders up to 20’. 4. Must have dexterous use of both hands and be able to use mechanical hand tools. 5. Must be able to work in a kneeling or squatting position. 6. This is strenuous work requiring good, corrected vision, hearing, smelling, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, lifting and the ability to work without supervision. 7. Must be able to refrain from smoking while in our office and in customers’ homes or businesses.
