Installer Helper / Shop Helper Job Description
Job duties will alternate between the shop and the field, depending on where the work is needed (most of the time will be in the field). We usually work 40-50 hours a week Monday thru Friday and sometimes weekends (depending on deadlines on job sites).
- Education Required – High School Diploma or Equiv.
- Must be able to pass a drug test upon initial hiring and random drug testing.
- Must have proper transportation to and from work.
- Arrive at the shop or job site on time and ready to begin work at scheduled time (99% of time we meet at the shop and pay for drive time to and from each job site).
- Ability to learn and grow within the company.
- Ability to use a tape measure and basic math skills to figure material sizes, lengths, etc.
- Ability to understand CAD drawings, shop drawings (Preferred but not mandatory) and understand the install application and process as it pertains to the drawings and specification.
- Ability to use basic hand tools and basic power tools (Drills, grinders, cut off wheels, etc.).
- Has the ability to work in elevated conditions (boom lifts, scissor lifts, ladders, etc.).
- Ability of lift, carry, push, pulling or moving of 75lbs and over.
- Make sure equipment and tools are used in the proper manner.
- Keep the work on pace to complete the jobs within the scheduled time.
- Work with team members to assure that a quality job is done.
- Be able to communicate with Field Manager and Shop Manager.
- Maintain a positive attitude, take directions from manager and work effectively with other teammates and by yourself.
Job will pay $15-$20 an hour depending on experience and training provided to grow within the company.
