Biden shut down the Keystone pipeline which was Canadian oil, would've employed 10,000 people for 6 months, but would've done nothing for Americans regarding gas prices. Gas is expensive today because oil companies shut down refineries during the pandemic. Several are in the process of restarting but it takes months to bring a refinery back up.
