RESCUE DOG FOR REHOMING

Description
Hello, I recently took in an abandoned dog that was being underfed and neglected for the first two years of his life, before being left behind. I took him for a checkup and a rabies shot, and had a full panel of blood tests on him, as well as a fecal test and urine test, and everything came back normal. He is now taking Heartguard for heartworm prevention and Nexguard for flea and tick prevention. He has gained approx 15 pounds since I took him in, and may gain a few more. He looks healthy now, rather than boney and emaciated, but he is growing taller now that he is well-fed, so I'm not certain what his end size will be. I'm guessing about 55 pounds. He is a wonderful dog with a perfect temperament, and would make a great companion for someone with a high energy household, preferably with another dog of his size and energy level to play with. Ideally he would go to a home with a yard that he can run and play in, or to someone who is willing and able to exercise him quite a bit each day to tire him out. He seems like he's a great dog to take running, but I'm not a runner myself, so I can't confirm. He is still in need of neutering and his other shots, and the new owner would be responsible for this cost, as the adoption fee. It can be paid directly to his vet, at the time of services, and he can then be released to the new owners. He will come with his crate (which he sleeps in with no issues,) and his food bowls, and his toys, as well as his collar and leash. He is extremely friendly to other dogs and to people, including children, though he is quite exuberant and playful and if he is going to be a family pet, I think he would be best suited to a family with older children, (8 and up.) He seemed fine when introduced to two cats, but I don't have any of my own so I can't confirm how he does living with cats. I don't expect there would be any issues. Please send me a message if you would like to learn more about him, or if you would like to set up a meet and greet.
