Operations & Maintenance Focus – Work with staff to ensure that the facilities and properties are in good working order and well maintained. Operations – perform operations checklists. Maintenance – perform maintenance checklists. Simple repairs – perform simple repairs not requiring outside vendor(s). Urgent repairs – support outside vendor(s) at the direction of the Facilities Administrator. Safety – perform safety checklists. Specific Duties to Include Ensure exceptional facility maintenance. Identify short, medium, and long-range project necessities. Assist in periodic regulatory testing, such as a boiler, elevator water system back-check, fire alarm, etc., with established vendors. Understands the use of equipment, tools, supplies, and processes related to maintaining a facility. Responsible for the care organization, cleanliness, and maintenance of tools and facility workshop. Maintain inventory records for needed supplies and MSDF sheets for chemicals. Manage all aspects of motor vehicle and facility grounds. Participate in relevant meetings and offer regular and constructive feedback. The Ideal Candidate Will Have Conceptual grasp of engineering principles. A strong baseline of understanding in carpentry, electrical, and plumbing. Familiarity with a myriad of tools, their use, and safe handling, for example, hand tools, man-lift, power equipment, etc. Valued Personality Traits Strong people skills. Mature and professional, able to exhibit sound judgment. Solid work ethic, self-starter, and unquestionable character. Decisive with strong multi-tasking ability; detail oriented. Ability to prioritize tasks, delegate, set, and meet time horizons. Goal setting/problem-solving. Solid relational skills with a variety of people. Recognizes hazards and unsafe conditions, and understands liability issues, risk avoidance, and mitigation. Over the length of employment, these functions and tasks may change. Reports To – Facilities Director Position – Full Time Rate of Pay – $22.00 to 25.36 based on 52 weeks/ 40 hrs per week D.O.E.
