Just making this post for anyone who hasn't seen it, calling "988" will soon be the new mental health crisis line for free public use. This is a huge step forward considering where the previous suicide prevention hotline was a joke. Please reach out to someone if you or someone you know is in need of communication, times are tough and I know not everyone has someone to talk to. I've been seeking out a therapist for months and these types of resources at least help to fill the gaps. "The primary goal of the new number is to make it easier for people to call for help. Lawmakers and mental health advocates also see this launch as an opportunity to transform the mental health care system and make care easily accessible everywhere in the United States. The Biden administration has invested more than $400 million in beefing up crisis centers and other mental health services to support the 988 system. " Stay safe y'all
