Description
I adopted an incredible dog from the shelter in Riverside 3 weeks ago but was unable to bring his sister (littermate) home as well. The 2 dogs were taken into the shelter together as strays. The dog we brought home is such a loving and smart dog that I had to go back and rescue her as well.
Problem is, we can only really care for one dog since our kids are both toddlers. If you can either foster (I will provide her food, etc) until she finds a forever home, or adopt her, I would be so grateful. Adoption fee is negotiable, and I can bring her to you. I live in OB (San Diego). Also, if it’s not a good fit, I’d be happy to take her back.
I will be learning more about her as I will bring her home this week after her spay surgery at the shelter, but I can tell you the dog we brought home is incredibly sweet, loyal and gentle. He bonded to us immediately, is good with our small children and other dogs, seems fine with cats, learned commands easily and is eager to please, has not had any accidents in the house, walks well on a leash, and rarely barks. He has been good off leash as well. He is just super happy and excited to see the world. I can only imagine this girl dog has similar traits, and from meeting her at the shelter that is the sense I get. These dogs were well nourished and are very social. She may have had puppies based on her appearance. The shelter pictures do not do her justice. With a bath and some brushing and love, she will be stunning. Her intake weight was 80lbs but she does not seem that big. She is significantly smaller than the male.
Clean bill of health. Guess on age from vet is 2-3yo.
The last pictures after the shelter ad are of her brother who we adopted. They have similar coloring but her ears are pointed.
