Please join us for a bird outing on August 13th from 8:30 AM-10:30 AM at the Wheatridge Greenbelt/Prospect Park. We will meet at 8:30 AM at the parking lot across Prospect Lake in Prospect Park. The address 11440 W 44th Ave, Wheat Ridge, CO 80033 is for a dog hotel on the same street, but keep going down the road after turning off of 44th until you get to a parking lot. That lot is in Prospect Park! An image is attached for your wayfinding needs. The red star is the parking lot. The location includes free parking, wheelchair-accessible paved walkways, bathrooms, and lots of trees for shade. Please be prepared for the weather and we suggest bringing snacks, water, and appropriate clothing for the weather. All are welcome on this outing!! No experience is needed. Please let us know if you'll need any accommodations. *As we begin to host bird outings again, we want to make sure that we continue to take care of one another. Following current health guidelines, masks are optional on this walk, but we encourage people to bring a mask for social interactions. This outing has no registration limits, but please register so we know how many people to expect us to join. Please bring your birding gear. We will have some extra binoculars and field guides for those that need the. We require that all participants follow the Feminist Bird Club code of conduct.
