Like the Samaritan woman at the well, many of us live with a past. Quite often it’s a past that bears a striking resemblance to a broken mirror where we judge every event and person by the mistakes, disappointments, failures, and upsets of that past. The healing of past wounds is a significant step in the process of personal transformation to move us from victimhood to victory. With the trauma, pain, and trouble dealing with the past, as women, we tend to let “sleeping dogs lie” rather than face the issues that keep us bound to that past. Certain habits and destructive behaviors we keep around because they protect us from the risk of doing something else – the risk of success, responsibility, authority, and visibility.
Our Women’s Day Workshop 2022 will turn us to face those “hounds” and to Jesus, who takes care of removing the guilt and shame and helps us to begin life anew. We want to bring attention to the problems and patterns that plague our performance as women of faith and that keep us from living the promised abundant life. We also want attendees to celebrate the divine intervention of the Holy Spirit who will guide them beyond the unresolved issues of the past to resolution today.
Joining us for this year's workshop will be Rachael Stewart, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Founder of Amaris Counseling LLC of Amaris Conseling LLC, will be one of our presenters and panel discussion facilitator.
REGISTRATION FEE OF $15 WILL BE COLLECTED AT THE DOOR AND INCLUDES BOX LUNCH AND GIFT BAG.
