An August 18th, 11 am-1:30 pm, lunch and briefing-demo hosted by Houston Community College to introduce you a new national hands-on certification training and certification program called Certified Technician – Supply Chain Automation (CT-SCA).
This program has been developed by the Manufacturing Skill Standards Council (MSSC), the national leader in certifying front-line technicians in manufacturing and distribution-logistics—in partnership with National Science Foundation-funded National Center for Supply Chain Automation and Amatrol, Inc., the nation’s leading manufacturer of technician training equipment.
The National Center defines a CT-SCA-certified technician as one who installs, operates, supports, upgrades or maintains the automated material handling equipment and systems which support the supply chain. Amatrol has contributed a highly innovative, hands-on training and testing device called “Skill Boss-Logistics.” The MSSC and Amatrol have developed three full national industry certifications for this technician, each needing 200 hours of training:
• CT-SCA-EM: Equipment Maintenance - Maintaining Equipment/Systems
• CT-SCA-ER: Equipment Repair - Installing, Modifying, Troubleshooting and Repairing Equipment/Systems
• CT-SCA-NR: Network Repair - Installing, Modifying, Troubleshooting and Repairing Basic Controllers and Networks
Along with HCC leadership members, senior representatives from MSSC, Amatrol and the National Center will take part in the August 18th briefing, which will include a live demo of the “Skill Boss Logistics” device.
