Looking for a personal assistant for busy business-owner couple in Brooklyn to manage all aspects of scheduling, travel, creative pursuits, home decoration, family admin, health, organizing and basic understanding of everything that makes the family work. The ideal candidate will be interested in travel, art, lifestyle, fashion, health and wellness… but also ok some very uninspiring admin work. Please let me reiterate, there will be some really boring/annoying stuff to get done as well. An example day of tasks would include opening and organizing packages, framing art work, researching travel destinations and booking hotels, manage travel points, updating schedule for appointments, filling out forms for school or doctor, helping with passport or mortgage paperwork, researching recipes, researching and booking current events in NYC, making dr. appointments, bill pay, organizing house projects with handy man / painters, understanding dry cleaning systems, organizing beauty products, coordinating house cleaner and nanny schedules, making dinner reservations, knowing and managing family prescriptions, help with interior design, personal shopping, communicate with accountant and most importantly SET UP SYSTEMS that help the house run as smoothly as possible. This job is meta-rational: figuring out the way to get things done is as important as actually getting things done. We want you to get to know us and help figure out ways to help us achieve some major life goals. We want you to ask questions and be creative. This job may be great for an artist / actor / creative who is looking to supplement their goals with financial means, but we are open to all types of people. This will start as a three month trial for $17 an hour, likely full-time to begin and will continue to be full time depending on ability to keep tasks moving, work independently and identify places where improvements can be made in both creative life and organization. After three months we can discuss how to grow the job and a higher compensation rate.
