Description
Looking to stand in on your groove so i can learn a little about how to mix sounds and sample parts of already great pieces of music. I have already made beats and instrumentals and attempted to try producing a house (edm) track. I don't know how to sample from other pieces, and would love to learn how to setup my midi keyboard/soundpad to have said samples available on the pads as well as modifying sounds to produce a more dubstep/bass music style piece. I love the old school style of mixing and mastering and feel it would be a better approach to this genre. I can make a solid rap beat and even some reggae style instrumentals but dont feel as if my DAWS (Ableton) is as user friendly as it can be or as i want it to be. Any old school DJs (who mix and scratch) to produce their sound, please pass the torch cuz this generation is surely making such a thing a lost art and id kill to have a chance to learn as much of it as possible! From one artist to another, lets powow and have a jam sesh if youd be willing to enlighten me on this soon to be lost artform. From knowledge of equipment to actually using it, i want to know everything youre willing to teach me. I hear the music i create in my head and need a more diverse way to get it from my head onto a track or however youd call it. Producing beats seems very limited to me(probably cuz i know nothing about the equipment involved or how to use it) so i want to learn everything you can show me about music production and its equipment. Thank you for your time. Give me a call or email if you are open to this! My name is mike.
