We're an established, local NYC, gigging, alt-blues band looking for a fill-in or permanent bassist. You: Quality, experienced, fully-vaxxed, willing to listen and learn the repertoire, rehearse together (at our guitarist's photo studio in Hell's Kitchen) until we’re up and rolling and thereafter, periodically rehearse to incorporate new material. Willing to bring your own gear to venues that do not have backlines. Must be a heads up player with good instincts, responsive and often improvisational when appropriate. Gotta be tight and loose at same time. Looking for team players. No beginners, prima donnas, freaks or flakes. Us: Fully-vaxxed. Harp/vox, guitar/vox, drums and multiple brass, string and keys sidemen, playing in the unconventional 90's LA Blues genre of The Red Devils, The Mama's Boys. Also some punk blues (Legendary Shack Shakers) and reinterpreting Chicago, Memphis Swamp, Jump and some NOLA standards like Wolf, Slim Harpo, Junior Wells. And the bluesiest of Zep and Stones. We wanna make people move while we connect. Around since early 2000's, have been playing outside paying gigs through COVID with a regular schedule at Stitch Blues Bar in Midtown, as well as Queens Night Market, Ott’s Shrunken Head this summer.
