I have Peacock males & females for sale, $180 each. They are 10 month old, Indian Blue color, just getting their 1st tail. They will bond to you & your property. Peacocks are very large birds, the tails of males can grow to over 2m, they prefer to free range & sleep high up in the gum trees. Peacocks are friendly & inquisitive birds. Their call is LOUD, they are not suitable for suburban areas or close neighbors. Local councils have land size requirements for the keeping of Peacocks. Their diet is different to chooks as they eat mostly grass with grain supplement, so it is essential that they are able to free range on your property. An enclosure is also essential should you ever need to contain them for any reason, like worming. Please ensure you ALREADY HAVE a suitable enclosure prepared & in place before you enquire. It is however important that you have a large predator proof aviary, shed or similar, with high roosting area, to receive them into, they will need locking in for 2 -3 weeks in order to re-orientate themselves to their new home, preferable with an insulated roof to deflect heat. They are a flock bird & don't do well alone without a friend. Delivery is available to some areas.
