hello! Small family new to Santa Fe looking for housing

Hello, I'm new to the area with my 2 young daughters. We re looking for a very affordable home for us to live in and take care of. I'm recently separated and staying with my mother in her studio apt in the plaza. She owns and manages a small Cafe in the devargas center, Sabor Peruano. I've started working for her here full time. School is starting soon as I'm praying we will find a home for myself and my children. I know the market here is steep but at this time I can only afford $1000 per month. There is rental assistance program being offered from the state. If anyone with property that needs a family to upkeep or renovate, as I have experience in, pls pls let me know. I take pride in where I live and will maintain and add upgrades. Thank you and God bless!
