High: 87 Low: 75. Here are the top three stories today in Mobile: The Mobile City Council is considering a proposal to provide retired city employees with a bonus. The proposal will be discussed during today's council meeting. The city employee bonus will cost the city about $470,000 and the first responder bonus will cost about $465,000. The bonus will be $2 for every month of service provided before retirement. (ABC 15 News)For the first time since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, students will not be required to wear masks in Mobile County Public Schools. Some parents believe it is a good thing. Concerned students are still able to wear masks if they prefer. The district is still recommending students wear a mask. (Fox 10 News)Mobile Police Department participated in a car chase on Friday. The department chased a stolen car driven by a 12-year-old boy. The chase ended at the I-65 ramp after the vehicle struck a concrete barrier. The child was arrested and taken to Strickland Youth Center.
