Dear Representative Clark, I hope you are enjoying a wonderful summer. Have you been in the district lately? I noticed you were recently arrested in Washington, D.C. during an abortion protest. Did you realize that abortion remains safe and legal here in the Bay State? Meanwhile, here in Massachusetts - remember us? Our backyard BBQs are costing us 21% more than they did last summer. In the spirit of equity and inclusion, I invite you to engage with me in a series of 5 in-person debates regarding the House seat up for election on November 8th. I am happy to meet you anywhere in the district, at any time before the November 8th general election mail in ballots arrive in the homes of voters. I would like the chance to discuss my plans to tackle the issues that keep the people in District 5 awake at night - inflation, public safety, education, gas and heating oil prices, skyrocketing energy bills, overdose deaths, and taxes. In closing, I wonder if you have heard the news that MetroWest Medical Center in Framingham plans to close its oncology infusion and radiation oncology services in 2022. The nurses' union is quite upset about this, as are the many people who rely on these life-saving services. In Belmont, home invasions occurred on Adams Street, Madison Street, and Watson Road. Intruders cut through the screens of open windows and doors. While you enjoyed the luxury of a Capitol Police escort while on one of your abortion protest marches, the rest of us must rely on strained local police forces to protect life and property. Cops are frustrated, the system is a revolving door for criminals, and crime waves are hitting dangerously close to home. This is just a small sampling of what has been happening here in the district that you were elected to represent. I think we owe it to the voters of our district to engage in respectful dialogue and debate over these and other important issues which affect so many people across every demographic. I encourage you to accept my invitation to debate, and I would appreciate your timely response on or before August 10th, 2022, so that we may plan with ample time for a series of 5 in-person debates.
