Description
My philosophy is "Everything I ever needed to know about business I learned on the sports field." From Behind The Scoreboard, I feature the sports stories that tell us much more than simply who won or lost. These personal and inspiring experiences of grade school, high school, college, other amateur and even pro athletes allow all of us to reflect a little more on what is important in life. ~ James C. One Of The New Girls In The NHL
More girls and women are on the ice today playing and coaching hockey than 25 years ago. Some young girls play with the boys while older girls and young women are competing on all-female travel, collegiate and international teams.
The NHL ice at Madison Square Garden now features a woman coach. Jessica Campbell, just 29 years old, was hired by the New York Rangers for the team’s recent development camp.
Jessica arrived with strong credentials in the women’s game, plus she had coached at the World Championship. She now is on Broadway and no doubt we will hear more from Jessica this season and in upcoming seasons. A key to her success is strong communication.
Learn more about Jessica in my blog.
