Porter/Utility Person The Porter/Utility Person is to maintain the appearance of the apartment community common areas and grounds in a clean and orderly condition, performing the duties necessary to complete this task. These duties include conducting a trash pick-up every morning at the beginning of the day and blowing out the breezeways regularly to maintain high cleanliness standards. The Porter reports to and is directly responsible to the Lead Maintenance and Property Manager. Landscaping duties include: • Watering flowers often (i.e., daily) • Mowing all areas of the property to include “islands,” peninsulas,” and ditches. • Regular weed maintenance to include sidewalks and parking lots Make-Ready duties include • Removing debris and items left behind by residents • Assistance with removing large household items/furniture when applicable • Painting prep (e.g., removing switch plates, outlet covers, etc.) • Painting (including touch-up and baseboards/trim) • Miscellaneous minor repairs as requested by the Maintenance Lead
