FLATIRON, NY — Days after a group of cyclists was seen on video punching, kicking and hurling bikes at a luxury car in Manhattan, police said a teenager has been arrested in connection with the incident. The unnamed 15-year-old was arrested around 10 p.m. Wednseday and accused of riot and criminal mischief, police said. The video showed the group ambushing the BMW in broad daylight at 4:05 p.m. Tuesday while its 36-year-old driver sat at the intersection of Fifth Avenue and East 21st Street. The driver, an Upper East Side resident, told CBS2 that he and his 74-year-old mother, who was also in the car, have been left traumatized by the attack. In his Thursday morning news conference, Mayor Bill de Blasio pledged that the rest of the dozen or so people seen participating in the attack would be apprehended. "At least one has been arrested, the others will be," he said. "There will be consequences in this case."
