I’m now 44. In my youth I lived in Jamaica (Kingston and Highgate) through a Peace Corps-type program. I’ve never played in a reggae band, but it's been my dream for over 20 years. Other: --I have a rehearsal space in my basement. It's not great, but it's free. --I'm equally happy playing roots style or modern reggae (my favorite current reggae band is Tribal Seeds). --I'm not interested in playing at 10:00pm on Wednesdays. I'm too old for that. Also, I'm used to playing for three hours a night. --I'm open to playing covers and originals, but if we want to play well-paying gigs at ski lodges or beach resorts (which I can provide) then we need to play a healthy amount of covers.
