We're looking for drummers (with kit experience) who want to play a marching snare rig with us. We are a marching band but no marching experience is required. We hardly ever march actually. We usually walk to a spot and play. So the “marching” aspect just allows us to be ready to play in an instant. So why drumset experience? We want a drummer that can take kit concepts (fills, keeping time with interesting high hat patterns, locking in with the bass drum) and apply them to a mobile snare, mini high-hat, tambourine rig (or what ever aux percussion you’re into). Where do we play? We play in Honk festivals (both local and across the country). We play at local clubs and music venues. We sometimes get corporate gigs or weddings. Sometimes we busk on the street. We play porch-fests and other local community events. When do we practice? We practice every Thursday starting at 7PM (sometimes 7:30) in the Medford / Somerville / Cambridge area.
