Summary/Objective
The Crew Leader position is responsible for managing a team of Environmental Field Services
Specialists at construction sites in the installation and maintenance of erosion control materials and tools,
quality assurance, as well as watching for safety issues.
Essential Functions
1. Lead a crew of Environmental Field Service (EFS) Specialists
2. Assure all standards of quality met in the field
3. Watch for safety hazards on jobsite, correct employees anytime they are working in an unsafe
manner
4. Operate company machinery, including trucks, trailer, and all other equipment in a safe manner with
proper care and treatment
5. Assist with hiring and developing team members on the crew
6. Interface with clients on site to assure work is done and generate new work
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Typical hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (time
varies depending on work location and workload) with flexibility, 40+ hours a week. Due to the nature of
the industry and environmental laws/regulations, this may cause you to work on weekends and/or
holidays.
Travel
Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may
be expected.
Education and Experience
1. 0 - 1 year of leadership experience
2. High School diploma or GED (college degree preferred)
3. Landscaping, construction, or field work is a plus
Additional Eligibility Qualifications
1. Must have a valid Driver’s License and be approved to be on company insurance
2. Must have good command of the English language (written and spoken)
3. Enjoys working outdoors, physically capable
4. Able to illustrate organization, leadership, and communication skills
5. Comfortable and capable with technology
