SEEKING CARPET CLEANER

Haven’t used a carpet cleaner in a while. Our ‘go to’ guy of many years passed away. :( So looking for any good suggestions on who to use. 2 smaller rooms for a deep cleaning. Stanley Steamer is OUTRAGEOUS! Obviously not looking to pay for new carpeting...Just cleaning what’s here! Any suggestions/referrals much appreciated. Considered renting a machine to do it, but not sure how they do w/deep clean. ? If ppl have done it themselves w/success, I’m open to hearing about it. TY
