Lead Guitarist Needed for busy 80's band Kicked Outta Choir

Kicked Outta Choir needs a lead guitarist ASAP. We are a busy Female Fronted 5-piece All 80's (Rock, Dance/R & B, Pop, New Wave) cover band. We play bars, festivals and private events--including shows at Wrigley Field before Cubs games and White Sox games at Guaranteed Rate Field. This will be a great opportunity for someone looking to be a part of a busy, professional level, fun band with a lot of momentum. We play an average of 4 gigs per month, up to 8 in busy summer months and less in winter. We do one weeknight practice weekly in Wheaton. We have gigs scheduled for fall and are hoping to have someone who can be ready to play full shows by early October. Our set covers a wide range of 80's artists such as: Blondie, Pat Benatar, Loverboy, Billy Idol, Prince, Michael Jackson, Duran Duran, Madonna, Motley Crue, The Police, Journey, The Cars, Joan Jett and more. Qualified candidates should match most or all of the following: * Be experienced pro-level lead and rhythm guitar player, backing vocals a plus * Have quality equipment, reliable transportation * Must have appreciation for and be willing to play all genres of 80's music-- (not just hair metal) from Michael Jackson and Madonna to Motley Crue. * Fast learner, will need to learn roughly 40 songs initially and then continue to learn as we grow our set list * Good stage presence-- we are a high energy band, no music stand readers, should be in 40 - 60 age range * Not already in another band--part time side project OK if doesn't interfere with gig date. No jobbers. *Minimal family, job or other obligations, must have relatively flexible schedule * Professional, responsible attitude. Does homework, returns emails, on time for gigs and practices * Must live reasonable distance from Wheaton area and able to commit to one weeknight practice per week * General positive attitude, good sense of humor and passion for playing live music If this sounds like a fit please reply to this ad and include the following: At least one video of you playing live in a previous band or phone video of you playing solo, try to include some lead playing.
