Senior Vet need help with lawn

Last year I had my lawn top dressed and reseeded. All that came up was weeds and mostly crabgrass. I think I have killed all the crab grass and weeds, but now I cannot get grass to grow. PH is 6.5. I have put over $500 in fertilizer, and grass seed to no avail. I would like help identifying the current grass that is growing in spots. I hope someone out there can help. I have tried a few contractors here in town, they didn't work out. I am tired of looking at the dirt where there should be grass. Email me for an appointment
