Lynden Door is looking to add a Line Operator to our Pre-Finishing Department. This position will learn and thoroughly understand and communicate how the coaters work. The ideal Team Member would be someone who likes process, is detail oriented and enjoys being a team player and problem solver. HOURS: M-TH (4 10s) POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: Ability to understand what is necessary to accomplish results on the Burkle roll coater line: Temperature of coatings Amount of coating needed on coater application rollers to fill defects More or less sanding pressure, when needed Able to flip and stack skins without damage Understand requirements of quality control and able to grade for defects in wood as well as coating characteristics and application Willing to follow instructions as well as standard operating procedures Monitor sanding belt hang rack and keep all locations filled without exception Perform basic lubrication maintenance on machines which is done quarterly Computer skills monitoring daily reports Basic start-up/shut-down Basic housekeeping duties, as needed, coater cleanliness is #1 priority COMPETENCIES REQUIRED: Flexible to work hours needed to meet customer demand. Able to bend, stoop, kneel, lift, walk and perform repetitious movement. Able to lift 50+ lbs. Understands and follows directions quickly and accurately. Able to verbalize concerns and improvement ideas. Flexible in assisting other team members. Performs job in a manner that is safe for employees and avoids damage to materials and equipment. Able to use applicable tools, and understand the processes required for the area. Understand and comprehend computer system when scanning.
