Looking for a complementary guitar/steel player

Description
I'd like to start connecting with new musicians and eventually pull together a band or collective. In my experience this takes a while to get the right mix of people together, so for the moment I'm focusing on finding a guitar/steel player, and possibly another writer/singer that complements my style. I'm a pretty diverse guitar player and have plenty of experience playing solos, but I often end up preferring a well written textural part or using noise/feedback for the same purposes. I'd like to play with folks with a similar mindset and ideally who would be willing to work out some variation of the multiple parts/leads I've got on existing recordings, as a starting place. From there, I'm wide open to rearranging my stuff, cowriting, splitting singing/writing and lead, reworking an occasional cover, etc. I've got a few albums worth of original music from a few different projects that would be cool to build on, some of which is more blues-riffy/dirty/DIY/medium-fi rock, some more on the psychedelic/dream spectrum, and some with more organic sounds and country/folk influences. In my mind, these all fall under the umbrella of American roots music and I'm happy with that level of genre specificity. I'm a 40 year old white man (he/him) and I would love to collaborate with thoughtful musicians of any age, race, or gender and prioritize performing in spaces and on bills that are as diverse and inclusive as possible. I'm not rigid, but these baseline values are important to me. If any of that feels unappealing or doesn't make sense, I'm happy to chat more about why those things matter to me and what I think they look like in practice. If this project sounds appealing, tell me a bit about how you want to approach it, and maybe send me some samples of your playing if you've got them. I'll gladly shoot you links to some recordings, discuss influences and all that, as well. I have an album that still needs to be mastered so would need a good email address to send a private bandcamp link to. Thanks for reading. - Brian
