The other day I made a post about collaborating on a short film. Based on the mostly positive response, two things are clear. 1. There's a hunger for film collaboration. 2. The region has solid comedic talent. Based on the response, I created El Paso Film Club, a not-so-secret society of people who love to watch movies, make movies and/or love El Paso. It is my belief that El Paso is a wellspring of talent and stories that if properly supported and incentivized, could become a global hub of production. The Mettenger's logline is: The plan to lure an emancipated, artificially created intelligent life form out of hiding backfires on the shadowy figures in the government who want to keep his existence a secret.
