OP/ Seems fair that the institutions which benefited from all this pre funded education (artificial demand due to essentially cheap financing) would be the ones held to paying all this debt. After all who most benefited? technological patents and agreements made Stanford roughly 35 BILLION in royalties from 1980 to 2010. Over a BILLION per year,,,, Their declared "endowment" is now approx. 60 BILLION. Imagine what many other institutions have,,, Stanford should be on the hot seat more than the taxpayers. ==================================================================================== Fair? LOL!!!! The scumbag feds promise to pay student loans from the get go and so the scumbags at yale, harvard, standford and every other school will get paid no matter what. Then we send them endowments worth billions and the scum reward the scum in DC with kickbacks. Most universities are far left woke America hating marxist shitholes that brainwash your kid for 50k a year to hate you and to hate America. Now your precious baby has 200k in debt at 22 years of age and the scumbags want US to pay for it and continue to endow the schools with more taxpayer money. And every last democrat votes for this insanity and most repubes also. Anyone who votes for democrats is part of the problem.
