HARLEM, NY — A 72-year-old man was killed Thursday after jumping in front of a train in Harlem, police said.
Police responded around 1:35 p.m. Thursday to the 125th Street–Lenox Avenue 2-3 station. Authorities pronounced the victim dead at the scene around 1:44 p.m.
The victim's name has not been released. No criminality is suspected, an NYPD spokesperson said.
The incident caused delays along the 2-3 line. 2 trains began running on the 5 line between Nevins Street and 149th Street–Grand Concourse, while 3 trains were running on the 1 line between 96th Street and 137th Street–City College.
