We are looking for an energetic, enthusiastic addition to our growing team. In this entry level position, you will assist shop supervisors with a variety of tasks. If you are willing to learn new skills and enjoy working with your hands, you might be an ideal team member. Sunshine Land Design, Inc. Shop Mechanic may be responsible for any number of outdoor power equipment, small engines, trucks and or heavy excavating and paving machinery. Work assignment shall be assessed based upon the nature of the repair and the mechanics specific knowledge on any given piece of equipment, truck or machinery. Duties and Responsibilities: •Provide general assistance around the shop, including administrative and technical tasks. •Load and unload delivery trucks. •Diagnose and repair equipment. •Provide assistance to shop supervisors as needed. Requirements and Qualifications: •Ability to read a tape measure •Previous experience in manufacturing or shop work, including metal or wood shop classes •Aptitude for mechanics •Familiarity with hand and power tools •Capacity to analyze a situation and prioritize tasks •Complete assigned tasks unsupervised •Strong communication skills •Exceptional hand-eye coordination •Physically capable of standing for extended periods of time and lifting up to 70 pounds •Drivers License-clean & must be able to provide 10 year MVR.
