***$18/hr plus Tips*** Pontoon/Deck/Jet Boat Charter Captain

We are looking to hire 1-2 Charter Captains (Lake Mendota Only) to help finish out the 2022 boating season. This position would require you to be the Captain for our members/rental customers that are looking to have some fun without the responsibility of driving. Captained Charters are common for bachelor/bachelorette parties, happy hour & dinner cruises, professional outings, family get-togethers etc. Either way, you’ll be behind the wheel ready to take members/rental customers wherever they want to go or provide suggestions if they are not familiar with the lake. Pay will be $18/hr plus tips paid weekly. Tips can be anywhere from $20 - $100+ depending on how good your customer services is. To be eligible for this opportunity: - You must be available as needed every weekend (Friday - Sunday) 7:00am - 9:30pm, August through mid October. If you are available additional days, even better! - You must have previous and demonstratable experience safely driving, docking, covering, uncovering, cleaning, and fueling boats. - You must have excellent customer experience. You need to be a people person, but also know how to read a crowd and respond appropriately (sometimes just being a fly on the wall). - You must have a valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle to get to/from work. - You will need to complete a Boater Safety Course (about 4 hours) upon hire so that you can begin driving for us immediately. A computer or tablet will be needed. You will be reimbursed on your first check for the cost of the course. - You should have some familiarity with Lake Mendota. - You must be at least 18 year old. - You must be able to pass a criminal background check.
