Sunset Automotive Group is currently seeking a Body Shop Apprentice/Trainee to join our elite collision center team at Premier Collision Center. Pay potential is outstanding. Our best collision technicians make well over $100k/year. We offer a great opportunity for a recent collision school graduate or a do-it-yourselfer/auto body enthusiast who wants to begin a great career. Auto Schooling and/or experience and certifications preferred, however, we will provide on-the-job and formal training to enthusiastic, dependable candidates who show promise and drive. Collision Technician Helper Duties Bring us what you know and willingness to learn. We will pay you to work while you train to become a collision technician. We even provide no-cost outside training, including i-Car and manufacturer classes and certifications. Some of your day-to-day duties will include: Perform some or all of the refinish process, which could include filling, sanding, etc. Pull up repair procedures for damaged vehicle Assist or perform disassembly process, labelling and storing parts appropriately for reassembly Repair and replace damaged parts per estimate and according to manufacturer's standards. Use power tools, including heavy equipment as needed. Learn and grow in the trade until you can work independently Body Shop Apprentice Requirements Successful Candidate must be career minded, able to both take direction and work independently to produce top quality results, take pride in your work, and have a great attitude. Technician apprentices must be physically able to perform heavy lifting, work with power and hand tools, medically able to wear a respirator, etc. Must have a valid driver's license, good background record, and verifiable work history.
