Nutmeg & Oak has partnered with Stappa Vineyard, Bell’s Shellfish, and Tyde at Walnut Beach to bring you an interactive wine experience like no other. Join us on Thursday, August 18th for ’Wine & Brine: An evening of Oyster and Wine Pairings’. We kick off Oyster Fest celebrations by highlighting all that is New England with a journey through local Connecticut Wine & Oyster Pairings. Your Ticket Includes: The Evening: Oyster presentation and techniques, tasting and wine pairing tips/tricks, networking with like minded individualsThe Oysters:  (4) locally sourced Oysters with individual unique accoutrementsThe Wine:  (4) carefully paired wines + 1 welcome Aperitivo with history and storytellingThe Reservations: This is a 21+, ticketed private event. Tickets are not available at the door. Event space is only stairwell accessible. Additional wine and oysters will be available for purchase. With 55 years working in the industry himself, in 2006 Captain Dave Hopp decided to start his own one-boat shop, naming it Bell’s Shellfish after his grandfather, Captain Wallace Bell, who passed along his immense knowledge of the aquaculture of The Sound and love for the clamming and oystering industry.About Stappa Vineyards In 2020, three sisters brought life to their parents' dream and established Stappa Vineyard. Having grown up working in the hospitality industry and spending summers in Italy, submerging ourselves into winery life was a natural progression. Stappa Vineyard is not only a winery, it is a way of life. We harvest with our children and our pets. Rooted in family tradition, our wines are made with passion.
