Yoga Nidra is a form of guided meditation also known as “yogic sleep” or “effortless relaxation”. It’s usually practiced lying down with a teacher guiding the session. As you rest, you can turn your attention easily and effortlessly to the very nature of awareness and consciousness. Research has shown that one hour of Yoga Nidra practice is equivalent to 4 hours of sleep. This practice can restore your body, mind and spirit and be tremendously healing. No yoga experience is necessary. This practice will consist of gentle stretching and breathing exercises followed by guided meditation and imagery. Please bring your own mat and blanket.
