HAVRE DE GRACE, MD — Crowds flocked to Concord Point Thursday night for the Havre de Grace Duck Drop, which took place near the Concord Point Lighthouse. Dozens converged around Concord Street to turn the page on 2020, as the outdoor activity was one of few New Year's Eve events in the region that went on amidst the coronavirus pandemic. The Susquehanna Hose Company lowered a replica canvasback outside the Lighthouse Keeper's House from a 100-foot aerial tower truck. Photo by Elizabeth Janney/Patch. The numbers "2021" flashed before midnight then became fully illuminated as the duck made the drop, followed by fireworks.
