Please join us on the annual Bike Glenview - North Branch Ride! We'll explore the beautiful variety of habitats found along the Chicago River, from Bunker Hill Forest Preserve north to Harms Woods. You'll encounter prairies, wetlands, and woodlands as we wind our way north. Discover what makes these preserves so important for wildlife and people alike!
We'll stop along the way to chat about the ecology and history of the preserves we're traveling through. There will be a longer walk through Blue Star Memorial Woods (just north of Harms Woods) to discuss restoration efforts at that site. This ride is designed for cyclists of all skill levels and will last about 3 hours for approximately 15 miles.
Please meet at 6639 W Harts Rd, Niles, IL 60714. We'll be in the parking lot at the northern end of Bunker Hill Forest Preserve. We'll depart promptly at 10 a.m. Remember to bring plenty of water! A helmet is required for this ride.
This event is free and it does fill up, so you must register to attend.
Thank you to the Glenview Park District and Bike Glenview for helping to coordinate this event.
