Here are testimonials from our parents: From Judy McDaniel, CEO of Teenagers In Charge: "Write Your Way to the Bank was absolutely an amazing 2-Day Summer Enrichment Program that was led by my sister-friend and Soror Kalina @kreativescribes! She taught all of these youth participants how to understand money, credit, write a business plan, and pitch their businesses to funders. Everyone was a winner and walked away with some money to start their own businesses. Your social media niece won First Place in the Business Pitch Competition!" From Tanya DeLoatch, CEO of Ambitious Angel: "My 11yr old daughter attended the Write Your Way to the Bank Camp Weekend Experience and came home the CEO of her own company!!! Equipped with her own business plan and “Start-Up Capital,” that’s money she explained in excitement!! During the experience, she came home and worked on her Shark Tank sales pitch. Being the overly supportive mom I am, I tried to tweak/help with her plan. That quickly went out the window! My little “CEO” Tamia Curry had already been bitten by the Write Your Way to the Bank Bug and turned straight “tween” entrepreneur on me, so I politely stepped aside and let her go in her room and do her thing! The next day she read me her business plan, and I was blown away! The girl had “A Master Plan,” complete with cost expenses, the motivation, and history of her business. I was in utter shock at what my baby had learned in 1 day at the camp. During the presentations, I can tell the children were really motivated not only to win the start-up capital, but motivated in their spirit. You could see the confidence and pride; they knew what they were talking about and they were serious!!! Hearing all their ideas and aspirations and some of the content was simply heart-melting; these children were amazing!!! I say this to say our kids need more of this! They need our support; they need our love; they need to know that they are great in all aspects: work, play, starting their own business, competing in sports; they are supported! Thank you Kalina words can't express what this experience meant to Tamia and me!"
