This Full Time Entry-Level Automotive Sewer position is based out of Livonia, MI. Candidates who possess a passion for sewing and meet the requirements below for this Full Time Entry-Level Automotive Sewer position are strongly encouraged to apply. Responsibilities of Sewers: • Monitor machine operation to detect problems such as defective stitching, breaks in thread, or machine malfunctions. • Place spools of thread, cord, or other materials on spindles, insert bobbins, and thread ends through machine guides and components. • Position items under needles, using marks on machines, clamps, templates, or cloth as guides. • Guide garments or garment parts under machine needles and presser feet to sew parts together. • Remove holding devices and finished items from machines. Shift: • AM Day shift: 6:00 am to 2:30 pm (Monday - Friday + OT as needed) Retirees and veterans are welcome Requirements: • Must be at least 18 years of age • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent • Minimum 6 months of sewing machine operation • Ability to pass a hands-on sewing assessment • Basic mathematical skills (add, subtract, multiply and divide) • Ability to read, write, and understand instructions written and communicate in English • Good verbal and written communication skills Preferred Skills: • Prior manufacturing experience • Experience with Industrial sewing machines Benefits: • Overtime When Available • Veteran Friendly Employer • We offer Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance after your 60 days with Performance Driven Workforce • Work with Latest Automotive Technology Performance Driven Workforce is an Equal Opportunity Employer JOB ID # 44 Easy Application Process!
