STRATFORD, CT — A Bridgeport man is accused of threatening Stratford restaurant employees with what they thought was a rifle while he robbed the business, according to police. Kemuel Jimenez-Rivera has been charged in connection with the robbery Monday night at Dao Asian Cuisine, police said in a news release. Employees told law enforcement that Jimenez-Rivera entered the restaurant at 7365 Main St. with a rifle, pointed it at workers and demanded money, according to police. No one was injured, and Capt. Paul DosSantos confirmed the weapon was actually a pellet rifle. Detectives arrested Jimenez-Rivera on Tuesday, police said. He was charged with first-degree robbery, illegal use of a facsimile firearm, threatening and sixth-degree larceny, according to police. Jimenez-Rivera, 39, was held on a $250,000 bond, police said.
