Here are the top three stories today in Mobile: Mobile County has submitted its American Rescue Plan Act funding report for July. The report was submitted to the U.S. Department of Treasury. The county was given roughly $80.26 million in federal funding to develop eligible projects to mitigate the COVID-19 pandemic's effects on the community. Click for the full report. (Press Release Desk)The Mobile Police Department is currently investigating a shooting that occurred on Parkway Drive on Sunday morning. The department responded to the incident to discover a deceased victim in a vehicle. As of Sunday evening, department has not released the victim's identity or announced any arrests in the investigation. (Fox 10 News)Volunteers worked on Saturday morning to prepare Mary B. Austin Elementary School for the 2022-2023 school year. Volunteers raked the property and spread mulch. The volunteers were with the school's Parent-Teacher Association and the Spring Hill Presbyterian Church.
