My family and I adopted Tawny about a month ago from my mama. She is 3 years old, has had her vaccinations and is not fixed. She's fine around my other dog and cats BUT we're just not bonding. She doesn't seem to care for us and my kiddos want a puppy. I've given everyone, including Tawny, an entire month to get close - it's not working. I'm hoping that someone can give her a loving and safe home where she can be happy. I'm also hoping to find someone willing to TRADE a puppy for her. My children are begging me for a SMALL dog of their own. We're not allowed anything large where we rent. We're also only looking for a female. Tawny is a beautiful tan/white dachshund with the long body and short legs. I can send photos upon request. She's a hearty eater and has been around other animals and young children with no bad temperament. She's shy but does enjoy affection. She's puppy pad trained and prefers indoors as that's what she's used to. Again, I'm not asking a rehoming fee as I am looking to trade her for a female puppy.
