Overview
A field technician handles on-site servicing, diagnostics and repairs. A field service technician is responsible for troubleshooting the equipment, advising the customer on how to use the equipment, building relationships with customers, and following company procedures. They are responsible for showing customers how to use their equipment.
Requirements and Responsibilities
Installation, maintenance, testing, troubleshooting, and repairing equipment in the field to ensure optimum customer experience and quality.
Advise customers on the equipment
Diagnosing errors or technical problems and determining proper solutions
Make equipment recommendations to customers
Build positive relationships with customers
Meet all of the appointments in a given day
Respond quickly to customer problems
Handle dissatisfied customers in a polite and professional fashion
Operate vehicle in a safe manner and use field automation systems
Follow all company’s filed procedures and protocols
Employment Standards
High School diploma or GED equivalent
Great attention to detail
Be self-motivated
Able to work independently at the customer's establishment or house
Ability to lift up to 55 pounds
Ability to stand on your feet up to 8 hours a day
Great communication skills to work with customers
Amazing problem-solving skills
Ability to diagnose problems with equipment
Great mechanical aptitude
Ability to communicate in English
Ability to work flexible shifts and to adapt to changing work schedules
Familiarity with mobile tools and applications
Understand and follow protocol for the proper lines of communication
Clear understanding of company mission and values
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
