Description

Whether you spell it doughnut or donut, it’s all deliciously the same! Join food writer and Chef Instructor, Shawnie Kelley as she teaches you how to master three global doughnuts using a fluffy yeasted dough that you can do just about anything in terms of toppings or fillings. Each team will make traditional American-style donuts and dinonut holes that can be glazed, sprinkled, or sugar. This same soft yeast dough will be formed into Italian Bombolones filled with pastry cream or Nutella. For the third, we land Mexico to master the technique for making a choux pastry- the base of Mexican churros, which are fried, then rolled in cinnamon sugar, and dipped in chocolate. You will leave this class knowing how to make several variations on our favorite morning sweet treat while enjoying a paired boozy coffee or donut-inspired cocktail.
