Description

Most educational conferences are not designed using proven educational principles that maximize learning and retention. This program will use evidence-based adult learning principles to engage learners and promote long-term knowledge retention. This one-day conference will highlight advances in topics such as heart failure updates, COPD guidelines, updates on the management of hypertension, guidance on care of patients with intellectual/developmental disabilities, rheumatologic disease and immunosuppressive therapy and thyroid disorders and treatment. Short didactic sessions, case-based learning and small group discussion will all be utilized to provide an exciting exchange of ideas among learners! In the process, attendees will experience best practices for knowledge acquisition and retention. Target audience for this conference includes physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, pharmacists, healthcare providers, and academic trainees in community and private practice settings, interested in obtaining CME/MOC credit or specializing in internal medicine, hospital medicine, and family medicine. Registration includes: CME/MOC credit and course materials. For more information regarding this event, you can contact [email protected].
