Description

The Pattern Game opening gets a bad rap -- it's hard, can be a drag for the audience, and can get improvisers in their heads. But it doesn't have to be any of these things! Join Annie Bobbitt, Pattern Game lover, in a workshop where you'll get tips, tricks, and practice to make the Pattern Game more fun for you, your team, and the audience. We'll start with training wheels to lock the fundamentals of the Pattern Game into our brains. We'll take those training wheels off. And, we'll ride on into sets, practicing pulling premise from the opening, too. Annie Bobbitt has been improvising with the Baltimore Improv Group since 2017. Prior to BIG, Annie worked for an improv based, murder mystery dinner theater company in both Ohio and Maryland. She spends her non improv time working in informal arts education, creating things in her ceramics studio, and talking to her charming but devilish cat Winston. Catch Annie on indie teams Melk and GiGi, or chatting and smiling around the theater.
