BBQ Bedlam is organized by members of the New England Pitmasters to bring BBQ lovers from across New England together. At Bedlam, teams present their best to a team of BBQ personalities that sit on a stage with microphones in front of the competitors and score entries on the spot based on appearance, taste, and creativity. Last year’s entries featured a smoked beef three way, chicken fried ribs, and even mini smoked chicken pot pies. This ain’t no regulation BBQ comp but it’s a riot.
While it’s organized around the comp, it’s intended to be a party for anyone that likes BBQ with general entry tickets available to all. BBQ lovers are invited to bring their own tailgate setups, cook food for friends, or just stroll the grounds and talk Q with friends.
BBQ Bedlam is a labor of love. Everyone that helps is a volunteer. Every dime collected goes to putting on the event. That includes the trophies, cash prizes, schwag, DJ, stage, venue, etc.
No outside alcohol. The Tewksbury Elks makes their money from the cash bar that opens at 10am and would lose their liquor license if people bring in outside booze.
Because we judge live, we’re limited in the number of teams that can compete. Because we use ticket sales to fund it, we sell tickets in advance only.
Competition & Event Details are listed and updated at www.bedlamfarmsbbq.com. This is not your standard competition. Please read them before you buy your tickets!
