WHAT: A Trike Called Funk is a mobile party unit designed to create fun-filled and family friendly activations anywhere we can pedal and park. We are excited to host Bike to the Beach and Boogie a series of 3 Beachside Pop-Up Dance Parties in collaboration with local bike organizations. Our bike collaborators will be planning a bike ride on the same day which will culminate at our beachside dance party.
WHERE: The locations this summer are
8/13-Wollaston Beach-Quincy, Mass-Large open sidewalk space between beach observation area and intersections of Quincy Shore Dr. & Sachem St. (caddy corner from The Clam Box restaurant).
8/20-Revere Beach-Revere, Mass
8/27-Nantasket Beach-Hull, Mass
WHO: These events are free, family friendly and open to the public. If you plan on participating in the bike ride we ask that you make sure to RSVP on this platform.
RIDE INFO: Our bike collaborator for the Wollaston Beach ride is Irene Lutts founder of the Quincy Bike Advocacy group Quincycles
The Bike route will start at 2:30PM at Mattapan Station (500 River St, Boston, MA 02126) . It will 8 mile ride . Here is the map:
