This 2 days course is for beekeepers and hobbyists. We will cover basic bee biology and beehive behavior entering fall and winter, fall hive management, preparing hives for winter survival, honey harvesting, feeding, mite management, and spring hie survival and hive management.
Each session will incorporate classroom instruction and demonstration as well as hive visits and demonstrations at the Wheeler Farm apiary. (Bring beekeeping suits.)
Instructors include beekeeping experts drawn from USU Extension faculty, WBA beekeepers, and community experts.
